Applies toWindowsUpdated on 24 October 2026

    Short answer

    Installer
    Notuly-Setup.exe, signed by Scolutions B.V.
    Installation
    per user, in %LOCALAPPDATA%\nl.notuly.windows
    Requirements
Windows 11 on x64, Entra joined or hybrid joined, with WebView2

    On Windows.

    1. 1Download the installer of the version you deploy: https://updates.notuly.nl/windows/installers/Notuly-Setup-{version}.exeFor example Notuly-Setup-2.0.29.exe. The same version number goes in the detection rule.
    2. 2Put only the installer in an empty folder, named Notuly-Setup.exe.
    3. 3Wrap it as an .intunewin file with the Win32 Content Prep Tool.IntuneWinAppUtil.exe -c C:\Notuly\source -s Notuly-Setup.exe -o C:\Notuly\out -q
    4. 4Add Notuly to Intune as a Windows app (Win32), with Scolutions B.V. as the publisher.
    5. 5Enter this as the install command: Notuly-Setup.exe --silentExit code 0 means success. Add 1 as ‘Failed’ under the return codes.
    6. 6Enter this as the uninstall command: cmd.exe /c ""%LOCALAPPDATA%\nl.notuly.windows\Update.exe" --uninstall --silent"Intune doesn’t expand environment variables here, hence cmd.exe.
    7. 7Set ‘Install behavior’ to ‘User’.
    8. 8Set ‘Device restart behavior’ to ‘No specific action’.
    9. 9Choose x64 as the architecture.
    10. 10Set the detection rule to the registry.Key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\nl.notuly.windows, value DisplayVersion, ‘Version comparison’, ‘Greater than or equal to’ the version of the installer.
    11. 11Assign the app to a user group, starting with a small pilot group.

    Questions.

Can I use the installer from the download page?
Yes, but it isn’t always the latest version. If it’s too old, the user sees ‘Update required’ at first start and updates first.
    Is there an MSI?
No. Per user you use this installer, per machine the System package.
The installation fails. Where do I look?
Add --log, for example Notuly-Setup.exe --silent --log C:\Windows\Temp\notuly-setup.log. Intune itself writes to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Logs.
The uninstall command doesn’t work. What now?
Put an Uninstall-Notuly.cmd next to the installer with the line "%LOCALAPPDATA%\nl.notuly.windows\Update.exe" --uninstall --silent, and use that file as the uninstall command.
